molasses versus a rabbit

the universe holds so many masses of life, all crammed into spaces allotted out like candy for children. "don't cross this line" and figures of kings and leaders carrying out various attempts to conquer the others like napoleon or hitler. you can stand from your current spot and look at these events as our history, so long ago that it could not be significant to this insignificant millisecond of life. Wondering how you can perceive all these people, the hustling bodies of New York City or a vast expanse of windmill dotted german countryside. all living beings, who move through life at different paces yet all occupying their plots during earths own time. I see my friend, who never seems to stop; always involved, take one step, then another. i can remember seeing her fast paced shuffle down the school hallway and see her life moving as fast as her nimble steps take her. and then at the same time i can see my neighbor, a few brain cells less from the last encounter with the incessant of smell pot wafting through the air as he lumburs toward my mother. she failed to avoid him. his life, it seems, is moving like molasses sluggishly eeking its way from a measuring cup in my kitchen as cookies are being made.
